A seminar on mountain running, funded by the International Athletic federation (IAF), hosted by the Chinese athletic federation, and conducted by WMRA, was held on 11th March in Guiyang, China.
The lecturers were Tomo Sarf (WMRA Director of Development), Bruno Gozzelino (WMRA Secretary) and Dr. M. Jegathesan (Chairman of the Asian AA medical committee)
The following athletic federations sent delegates: China, Japan, Kuwait, Jordan, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Iran, India, Yemen, Nepal, and Malaysia.
The seminar demonstrated once again the growing interest in the mountain running branch of athletics which has been evident since the IAAF adopted mountain running into its Rule 1.
